Boost Mobile offering mobile recycling
posted by Joe on June 9th, 2008 - 10:00 am | Boost Mobile
As more and more people are buying new phones and leaving their old models behind, cellular phone recycling becomes important. The last thing we need is to fill landfills with these toxic electronics. Thankfully, we’ve seen an increasing number of phone recycling programs. Boost Mobile has added one of their own. Customers can now get a recycling bag through their website. Bags will also come with the purchase of a new Boost phone.
Proceeds for this program will go to support Global Inheritance, an environmental group looking to inspire activism in today’s youth. This will go to their POSTed program, which creates and distributes “artistically designed” posters to schools. These posters promote recycling, voting, exercising, and other small yet important tasks that many of us neglect.
It’s nice to see mobile phone recycling programs turning into a form of charity.
