Boost Mobile issues firmware update for Sanyo Incognito

Via PhoneNews.com, we learn about an update Boost Mobile has issued for the Sanyo Incognito, one of its new CDMA phones. The firmware update allows users to play full screen video, including streaming from sites like YouTube. That’s the good news. The bad news is that it makes the device a bit more restrictive when saving and uploading files. You can make the upgrade by going to Settings – Tools – Update Phone – Software Version.

What if I download Opera Mini to access youtube and video files instead of doing the firmware update?
Would that be a better way?

I just updated my firmware, now every time I try to open my browser I get this: “ERROR Can’t open application”, and my phone freezes. Great update, Boost.

I did this update the latest firmware update, and not only did it KILL my ability to view youtube videos fullscreen, but it also killed the phones ability to load my camera. Now I just wonder if I can roll back the update or the phone needs a warranty claim. Upsetting. Good phone too.
