Boost Mobile expands Radio Shack presence
posted by Joe on February 13th, 2009 - 8:30 am | Boost Mobile
One of the keys to prepaid cellular is quality distribution. Most of the major pay as you go cell phone providers you can find at retailers like Wal-Mart and Target. Boost Mobile is trying to expand beyond that. Previously available at about 1,800 Radio Shack outlets, they’ll now realize distribution in 2,400 more stores, bringing the total to 4,200. That puts their Boost Unlimited plan right out in front of thousands of customers daily.
“RadioShack’s nationwide store footprint, coupled with Boost’s national network, is a perfect partnership, offering convenience for new and existing Boost customers,” said Jeff Auman, vice president of sales at Boost Mobile. “We are looking forward to offering our phones, Re-Boost cards and wide range of service plans, including Monthly Unlimited, to more RadioShack customers across the country.”
I don’t hear RadShack’s name very often these days, but apparently they aren’t doing so poorly. As long as they’re done selling those crappy Optimus portable CD players that I used to constantly break, I’ll be fine.
