Boost Mobile cutting international rates
posted by Joe on January 29th, 2009 - 11:00 am | Boost Mobile
Boy, Boost Mobile sure has been in the news lately. Could this be their year to break out? Judging by their early-year announcement of a monthly unlimited plan, it very well could be. The latest card up their sleeve: reduced international calling rates to Mexico. They’ve also eliminated the international call fee to Puerto Rico, making it a standard long distance call.
On the Mexico front, those calling Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Moterry will use their airtime plus two cents a minute. There aren’t many deals that hold a flame to that.
“Boost Mobile defines value to a growing number of Latinos who want quality wireless service without a contract,” said Mirna Aceituno, manager of Hispanic marketing for Boost Mobile. “And with these rate reductions, Boost is now a more compelling alternative to landline long distance for anyone who frequently calls Mexico and Puerto Rico.”
This is good news for Boost customers. Actually, it might be better news for non-Boost customers who are looking for a good calling rate to Mexico and Puerto Rico.
