Amp’d Mobile quickie: MVNO to stay in service
posted by Stuart on June 25th, 2007 - 10:38 am | Amp'd Mobile, Verizon Wireless
It doesn’t mean that they’ll emerge from bankruptcy, but Amp’d has reached an agreement with Verizon to stay in service during the proceedings. This extends the agreement reached last week, which was to end today. In exchange for this concession, Amp’d has dropped a lawsuit filed against Verizon after they moved to drop Amp’d from their network.
Not much further detail is available, as representatives from both Amp’d and Verizon have declined to comment on the deal. However, a hearing on the settlement is scheduled for today, so perhaps the parties will be more willing to disclose facts after the judge makes it official.
As always, we’ll get details up as we receive them.
