Airvoice Wireless Adds Two New Unlimited Plans

Airvoice Wireless, an AT&T MVNO recently made a couple of quiet changes to its plan lineup this week with the addition of a new $20 per month plan and a $5 plan for 5 days of service. These new plans fit in perfectly with the changes that Airvoice made to its plans last month. Here’s what the plan lineup looks like right now:
  • pay as you go – $10/$20/$30 cards; $0.10 per minute/message, $0.066 per MB
  • $5 – unlimited talk and text, 25 MB for 5 days
  • $10 – includes up to 250 minutes OR 500 texts; includes a pay as you go paradigm
  • $20 – unlimited talk and text, 100 MB
  • $30 – unlimited talk and text, 1 GB
  • $50 – unlimited talk and text, 5 GB
It’s worth noting that there is a slight catch with the data, however: half of the advertised data is available at high speeds while the remaining half is throttled. Throttled data should be at around 128 kbps which is still more than acceptable for browsing the web and other non-streaming activities. More data can be added via a top-up card. All of the unlimited plans, even the $5 plan, include unlimited international texting along with national texting and calling. Some of the higher-priced plans also include international calling to 80+ locations. These new plans are far more competitive and I am fairly certain that the $20/month plan is the cheapest (or among the cheapest) AT&T MVNO plan to include unlimited talk and text. Airvoice Wireless is one of those little-known MVNOs that doesn’t get a whole lot of attention but actually has some pretty good service. The customer service associates I’ve dealt with have always been extremely helpful and polite. The company both sells phones and allows customers to activate compatible unlocked GSM devices.
